IU SPEA Admissions

When IU’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs proposed a new admissions 0:30 video, they only had a vague idea of what they wanted. After working through a strategy, a concept was implemented that communicated key messages and connected with prospective students.

The result was a simple production with slick graphics and animation that achieved the client’s communication objectives all on a modest budget.

Same Kick. Less Can

For the debut of a new energy capsule, a simple animated commercial was produced. Completed in time for a convention of convenience store retailers and products, the animated spot worked to let retailers know that our client was serious about advertising this new product.

The result was a simple spot that garnered retail industry interest in the new product.

Consumer Protection

The Office of the Indiana Attorney General usually calls on me to assist in producing video news releases. This project, however, was to bypass the news station’s editorial desk completely. Contracting with a local video production crew, we were able to assemble a complete series of 8 PSA’s from footage shot in two half-day periods.

The result was a simple and effective series of PSA’s that didn’t break the bank to produce.

Highways For Life Video

Driving Innovation

The Highways for LIFE program was created by the Federal Highway Adminstration to promote the best in highway construction practices. Materials were collected from over 30 state transportation departments and assembled to highlight best practices and explain the new effort’s mission in a series of videos.

The result was a presentation that effectively communicated the organization’s key messages while bringing a new brand identity to life.

National Liner Video

Service is in the Pipeline

This project called for detailed 3D animation to illustrate the process of rehabilitating pipelines with the cured-in-place method. Working with a freelancer, I was able produce this spot with a very quick turn-around time.

The result was a quality video for web that clearly illustrated this unique procedure.

Pick Hirons

The challenge here was to rise above the competition. For a response to an RFP you can expect lots of agencies to assemble and present a DVD of their best broadcast work. But not often does this DVD presentation contain a “Big Idea” that integrates so closely with all other materials in the response.

The result was an innovative response that eventually lead to contract work for the agency.

Tony Dungy PSA

Tony Dungy, former Head Coach of the Indianapolis Colts, is a busy man. For this reason, I was given the task of recycling old footage for a new spot. By combining old radio and television spots and presenting them in a new fashion we were able to provide our client with an updated spot.

The result was an animated “postcards in space” animation concept that has led to increased calls for our client, without taking any more of Tony’s time

DeKalb Memorial Hospital Video

Scan Man

This is a project where I really pushed myself to learn more in Illustrator and After Effects. Working with pencil drawings from a freelancer, an in-house production team was assembled to vectorize and animate art in order to bring a comic book superhero to life.

The result was a fun and unique spot that received great feedback from members of the community.

Time is Money

This project utilized a concept I proposed in order to give the client high production value on a modest budget. The photography and graphics were shared between television and print and After Effects was used to animate these elements.

The result was a clean-looking campaign that stood up very well to local and regional commercials.
